Urban Transformation Directorate was established.

Urban Transformation Directorate was established.

Last week, the Urban Transformation Directorate under the Ministry of Environment and Climate was established.
This development shows that the state will attach great importance to urban transformation in Istanbul and its surroundings in the coming period.
I think that as a continuation of this development, significant state financing will be provided for urban transformation and urban transformation legislation will be updated to accelerate the process.
With the decision taken in a similar period, the urban transformation approval requirement for 2/3 building owners was reduced to 51%.
If a (very) rapid urban transformation process is to take place in Istanbul and its immediate surroundings, there will be a need for temporary housing or workplaces for people whose buildings will be renovated.
Is there supply to meet this demand? Can rent price levels be met?
I believe that if urban transformation is carried out in a planned manner in Istanbul, one of the most beautiful geographical living areas in the world, it will make a noticeable contribution to the economy and quality of life of the country.
Unfortunately, I do not think that the process will be carried out based on generating sufficient value.
